The Coming Persecution: An analysis of the Church by Catholica Romana
(Sex Abuse - Persecution by Prosecution)
I shall keep this brief and concise. With the PA Grand Jury report coming out earlier in the month, the entire world is looking to the Catholic Church in America as a corrupt organization who covers up sex scandals. Pennsylvania is one of the first states to do this and there will be more to come. Here is my analysis of the coming years for the Catholic Church in America:
1. Cardinal Wuerl will refuse to resign for a period of time. His disposition towards the situation will be that of political nature rather than of disgust and sorrow for the abuses that happened. He will continue to downplay the situation and repeat how he handled the abuses and pedophile priests properly at the time despite evidence showing he moved priests around, paid them to keep quiet, and did not report the issues to the police. People will demand his name to be taken down from Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School, a school which he was very proud of and personally allowed to have been named after himself. The School will have to remove his name in order to keep students and funding as well as their reputation as a place of education.
Despite living in a 31 room multi-million dollar mansion in the suburbs of Pittsburgh filled with lavish antiques and ornate rugs while he was bishop there, he humbly moved out into a 43 million dollar three-floor mansion when he went to D.C. as he became archbishop and Cardinal, which is where he currently lives today on Embassy Row. He has paid over hundreds of thousands of dollars of his diocesan money just in taxes on his mansion over the years. How was this 43 million dollar purchase even allowed when so many parishes are struggling for donations? His predecessor, Bishop David Zubik of Pittsburgh within two weeks of assuming the position, sold the mansion in Pittsburgh and lives in an apartment in the Pittsburgh seminary, a much more humble way of life.
2. Cardinal Wuerl will resign either by the people's petitions and riots or by the Pope asking him to. The longer Cardinal Wuerl refuses to resign, the more angry the people will become with him and the Church he currently represents. He continues to make the situation more worse every day and the sex scandal is now exploding all over the news as he continues to do interviews about how he will not resign.
3. Bishop David Zubik will be under heavy fire from the secular press as well as upset, disappointed, and enraged Catholics who want to associate a figurehead or name with the who sex scandal situation. After Wuerl resigns, the blame will shift towards Zubik, who in the official PA Grand Jury report, was not mentioned at all to have covered anything up. Bishop Zubik has been planning for about three years now to orchestrate his mission for the "Church Alive", which is a multi-year plan to combine, close, and rename parishes in Pittsburgh. In order to do this, every diocesan priest (other than a few permanent or retired ones) will be moved to another parish within the diocese and will be called an administrator, rather than a permanent pastor. Mass times will be combined and parishes will now have branch campuses, which are just other parishes that are combined. Catholics are frustrated with the following:
The mass time you have always went to will now be at a different parish. The priest that has been at your parish for years is now transferred. Your parish was financially stable with no debt but now has assumed the debt of two other parishes. Priests will be driving around to the parishes they cover and despite having assistant priests, parishes will find it harder to find priests who have the time to administer sacraments. It does not help that many families are not providing vocations. It has been discouraged. Young men are given responses like, "Why be a priest when you could be a married lay church minister? or "you don't know what you want so just get married" Anyways... I digress.
In addition to the faithful Catholics who now are frustrated with the mission for "Church Alive", they are scandalized by how the church has handled the sex abuses. Many who claimed to be faithful will stop coming to Mass and either become vaguely spiritual or agnostic, or start attending protestant communities. Those who remain will fight back by not donating to the Church to show their disproval of the actions taken by the hierarchy. On the other hand, the secular people will attack the Bishop now too. From their perspective, they see this sex abuse scandal come out in the news and then weeks later, they see the Bishop moving every priest around. Hmm, what does this appear to look like. "They are covering it up again! They are moving priests around!", they will say. Talk about bad timing!
4. After two high ranking Cardinal's resignations due to sex scandals (Cardinal Wuerl and Cardinal Theodore McCarrick)... The Church will be persecuted as a corrupt organization. More states will begin investigations and eventually as thousands of more accused priests names are released, the Federal Government will conduct its own investigation. There is already talk of the federal government using The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, also known as RICO, on the Catholic Church. This is the federal act that allowed the government to take down organizations like the Mafia. This could now easily happen if enough power-hungry individuals want to use this as a platform for their political career and enough secular people who hate the church back them.
The Church is going to be looked at as a corrupt organization who, on a grand international scale has been raping children and has its hierarchy cover it up. People are going to say that the church preaches hate and is evil for raping children. That it is intolerant of other religious beliefs. That it is financially corrupt due to Cardinals owning million dollar mansions. That it is sexist for not allowing women priests. That it is racist for being mostly white. That it is power-hungry and satanic. None of this is true, but this is the current secular view.
5. There will be violent hate crimes and revolts against the Church. This is already happening in the secular world. Anytime a police officer unjustly assaults an African American, people go out and kill random police officers and violently riot in the streets. The innocent police officers that are killed had nothing to do with the situation other than the fact that they somehow represented the corrupt police. Simply because some people in an organization are bad, does not mean all who are in it are. Situations like this have been happening in the news for years and it seems to blow over until the next one. We see these marches for "rights" and "tolerance" but historically in the last few years the are known to turn violent.
Now let's apply this irrational style of revenge to the Catholic Church. Society will become madly driven with hate to despise the Catholic Church. They will point the finger at the corruption and wish to seek their own justice, which recently is just committing crimes in some sick way of revenge. People who are not morally right will look at the news or hear from victims they personally knew and realize that Catholic Priests have been raping children. They will want justice and revenge. Petitions, protests, and parades will begin to shut down the Catholic Church in America. People will use anyone in black and a collar as a figurehead to channel their anger. Priests will be beaten and shot, whether in public or during the Mass. This is the beginning of the real violence. Many Catholics think the government will ban Catholicism or become violent, but I believe that is not necessary, as they know the secular people will do it themselves. This sounds far-fetched but has already started just days after the report came out. An innocent priest in his sacristy in Indiana, USA, Fr. Basil, was beaten unconscious after a man screamed, "This is for all the little kids". It seems that this prediction is already starting to happen. I do not want to make it seem like this will happen everywhere and will become common. It is rare and will be rare, but it will happen much more. People are already doing acts of vandalism to Catholic schools such as North Catholic High School in Pennsylvania, where Cardinal Wuerl's name was covered in red spray paint as seen in the photo above this article. Acts of vandalism are crimes and not acts of justice, yet this mentality is what will drive others to revolt against the church.
6. Priests will be targeted and assaulted. The least that will come of this is that people will yell at priests they see in public or stereotype them as pedophiles, as well as other verbal persecutions. In addition to priests being attacked, devout Catholics will be too. School shootings have been extremely prevalent and carried out without any cause. Just imagine what those sick-minded people are thinking now that they believe the Catholic Church is corrupt and polluting the nation. Yes, I am predicting that at some point there will be people who go to Sunday Mass like usual and a church shooter walks in to do a deed of "justice". The government will thankfully do what they can to stop this form of attack in the same way they try to stop school shootings, although it will still happen in a few cases. All it takes is for one or two church shootings and a few attacks on priests to discourage millions from attending Mass or joining seminary.

7. With all of this danger associated with Catholicism, many will leave the Church. The Church will become a remnant of devout Catholics who cling to tradition. Traditional vocations will rise and devotions to the Latin Mass will increase. Those who leave will join protestant communities or become non-practicing or even non-believing. Donations will run dry and the Church in America will be weakened. The secular news agencies will point the finger at all this chaos that has been happening and say it is due to the Church in America and will push for the RICO act to bring it down as a corrupt organization much like what happened towards the last days of the Mafia.
In addition with the new dangers of it, it might become illegal to be a practicing Catholic in public. The government will attempt to intervene and recreate a similar Catholic Church in America, but with their own regulations. They will make the rules and can create or ban teachings as they wish without approval from the Pope similar to the current government Church in China as opposed to the Chinese underground Church associated under the Pope. Masses will be held underground by non-juror priests who refuse to work in a Church regulated by a Government that can shut it down or change the "doctrines" whenever it wants.
This is exactly what happened in the French Revolution and the non-juror priests and their parishioners formed the Catholic and Royal Armies of France in the region of the Vendeé. The secular citizens of France at the time were fed up with the corruption of power and resources in the Catholic Monarchy and Church at the time much like people will be in America in the next few years. Over 300,000 Catholics were killed during the French Revolution, many of whom were unarmed women, children, priests, nuns, from 1793-1796 all for "freedom", "liberty", and "the Republic". Historians and scholars call this the first modern genocide, yet it is removed from almost every history textbook. Even the Catholic King of France was killed by the secular people and this was written in history books as if he was the worst king to have ever reigned. Enlightenment was sought after and naked women playing the Goddess of Liberty and reason were put on the Notre Dame Cathedral altar. In history books, this act is one of justice, liberty, and freedom, yet we know this to be idolatry and sacrilege. The American people will assume the position of justice, liberty, and freedom, while the Church will seem corrupt, tyrannical, and satanic; When it is actually the other way around.
Is this where we are heading? As the Vendeé say, Dieu Le Roi! And as the Cristeros say, "¡Viva Cristo Rey! Please share and comment on this article if you find it to have any value. I tried to remove any conspiracy or apocalyptic aspects to this article and based it on pure historical evidence and attempted to be as real as possible when making predictions. There is still much hope and this is not meant to discourage anyone. This is being realistic with our current situation. If anything, this should enkindle your faith to pray more fervently and take your faith more seriously! Pray the Rosary often! Our Lord will triumph with His militant through all the dark times. May God Bless you all! The gates of Hell shall not prevail.
