VALOR MEN'S DAY

WHY: Men ought to constantly improve themselves - developing new skills and working on their interior life through virtue.

SCENARIO

Flash flooding took out the local power grid, law enforcement is overwhelmed, and you group together with other men to find survivors. You establish a TOC (Tactical Operations Center) to distribute resources and apply medical care. A group is taking advantage of the lawlessness and is approaching your position.

COURSE OVERVIEW

Our culture seeks to destroy the family. Men are encouraged to be weak. They fall into the dopamine addictions of social media, pornography, alcohol, procrastination, and ultimately become complacent. With natural disasters, foreign wars, riots, and the emergencies in our own homes, more men need to be ready to save lives - starting with their own. The battle is still waging for souls and our forces are scattered. Valor is great courage in the face of danger. It is time to regain control of our lives and take back our roles as men. It is time to restore society. It is time for God's men to regain our Valor.
Men will attend a Saturday training course where they will learn a broad overview of a variety of skills our culture has failed to teach men:
- Wilderness survival / SERE
- Car accident response / Trauma care
- Logistics and emergency response
- Teamwork under pressure
- Cooking over a fire
Our instructors include military, EMT, police, fire, and priestly personnel.
Men will work in teams assigned by their skillsets and compete against one another, learning the value of brotherhood and teamwork under pressure to achieve an objective. There will be heavy emphasis on physical fitness, pushing you to your limits, but it is only to one's own capacity and you can opt out of any challenge. There will be a "Bring Sally Up" pushup contest!
To give you an idea of this course, with around 40 men at the last course, we previously covered a variety of topics including wilderness survival, camping, platoon movements, homesteading, home repair/renovation, home defense, mission planning, chainsawing trees, trauma/medical care, investing/budgeting, parenting, boxing, martial arts, leather craft, welding, oil and tire changing, and more!
Men suggested topics for future courses such as: blacksmithing, auto care, stone masonry, carpentry, bushcraft, timber framing, plowing, plumbing, roofing, drywall, electrical work, cooking, livestock raising, stained glass making, crop rotations, hunting, butchering, weight training, and more.

10:00AM - Men arrive. Get assigned teams. First challenge begins.
10:30AM - Wilderness Survival / Escape and Evade
12:00PM - Lunch/Talk (Cook Hot Dogs over fire/Chips)
1:00PM - Emergency Response Training
2:30PM - Team Competitions
4:00PM - Logistics and Mission Planning
5:00PM - Final Training Exercise
6:00PM - Dinner/Food Prep Training
6:30PM - ENDEX: Bonfire and Drinks until late

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Must be 18+ (unless waiver signed by a legal guardian)
You may be required to sign an injury waiver at the request of the landowner.
Course will happen rain or shine. Dress for the weather. You will be in the woods at times.
The location is private property on a homestead and not a retreat center.
You can come and go at any point during Saturday depending on your schedule. You can even just come for the bonfire to hangout.
Meals will be provided. If you have allergies, bring your own food. There is a fridge.
